About Public Administration (Dual Degree BA/MA)
Georgetown College and the University of Kentucky’s Martin School of Public Policy and Administration have partnered to offer a dual degree (BA & MPA) opportunity for you, if you are interested in pursuing a career in public service. You will first establish a strong liberal arts foundation at Georgetown College and then sharpen research and public management skills at UK’s Martin School.

GC’s average class size. Worried about big class sizes at the University of Kentucky? The Martin School actually has small class sizes with concentration classes averaging 7-12 students. This provides for a personalized experience at both GC and UK.

Capstone
During the final semester at the Martin School, students utilize writing skills cultivated at GC and research expertise gained at UK to complete a quantitative or qualitative study that gets published on the Martin School website!
Program Requirements
Application to the program should be submitted during the second semester of the student’s junior year. Applicants should have (1) completed at least 86 credit hours of work toward the bachelor’s degree or be eligible for senior standing in the semester they are admitted to the program; and (2) earned an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.5 in the major field and 3.2 cumulative.
